Xiaomi smartphones in Portugal can now officially be purchased with cryptocurrency. The official Xiaomi retailer in this country – Mi Store Portugal – has begun accepting some cryptocurrencies for payment.
The list includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and Dash. Interestingly, there is Tether, a cryptocurrency pegged to the dollar exchange rate. That is, the Tether rate always corresponds to the dollar rate.

For cryptocurrency, you can buy smartphones, smart watches, electric scooters and other Xiaomi equipment. Whether there are any restrictions is not reported.
To enable cryptocurrency transactions, Xiaomi has partnered with the Swiss company Utrust. Their own Utrust token (UTK) is also accepted for payment. By the way, this token has grown by about 25% in recent hours, obviously against the background of information about Xiaomi.
