Xiaomi introduced a crown to control gadgets with the power of thought. Not clickbait

Xiaomi showed a very unusual Xiaomi MiGu Headband device, which at first I can’t even believe in: a “crown” (or something of a similar format) for controlling smart home devices using brain waves. A team of engineers created this invention as part of the third Xiaomi Group online hackathon. This is reported by the authoritative Chinese edition of ITHome, the corresponding entry is in the Xiaomi microblog on Weibo (Chinese analogue of Twitter).

Xiaomi MiGu Headband has three built-in sensors that allow you to approximately determine the electrical activity of the brain (electroencephalography, EEG). According to the creators, different emotional states generate different brain waves — this is the principle on which the gadget is based, it is not only designed to control smart home devices (smart locks, smart kettles, advanced air conditioners, and so on), but is also able to detect fatigue driver.

This smart headband from Xiaomi won the hackathon, but according to ITHome, it is not intended for commercial sale. However, in the future, everything may be possible: the company recently introduced Mijia Glasses Camera smart glasses for sale, which in the past seemed like a fantasy.
