Xiaomi introduced its best smartphone – 13 Pro. What is interesting and how much does it cost

In addition to the base Xiaomi 13 with its strange overly saturated colors, the new series of smartphones has also been replenished with a Pro model. It has become a treasure trove of Xiaomi’s latest developments, touching literally all the main characteristics: from the display and cameras to the battery and case.

Xiaomi 13 Pro has the same advanced screen as its predecessor: a 6.73-inch curved OLED matrix with a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels and a frequency of 1-120 Hz. However, the company has managed to significantly increase the brightness: it reaches 1200 nits in normal mode and 1900 nits when displaying HDR content. In this case, the PWM frequency is 1920 Hz.

Since the side edges of the screen are curved, Xiaomi managed to make a very thin bezel between the display and the back cover on the sides: its thickness is only 3.2 mm (with a total smartphone thickness of 8.38 mm).

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the latest 4nm processor from Qualcomm. It is made on a three-cluster architecture with a main Cortex-X3 core at 3.19 GHz, medium cores at 2.8 GHz, and power-efficient cores at 2 GHz. Compared to its predecessor, CPU performance has increased by 37% and power consumption has decreased by 47%. GPUs have similar numbers: +42% and -49%.

The processor is complemented by the fastest memory: LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

The main focus of the Xiaomi 13 Pro was on cameras, the main module was a 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels (as in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra camera phone), a Leica lens with f / 1.9 aperture and advanced Hyper OIS stabilization. The second module is a 50 megapixel telephoto camera with Leica optics (optical zoom 3 ×), and the third is a wide-angle module with a 14 mm equivalent that supports autofocus and macro photography.

The battery has changed slightly compared to its predecessor – it is 4820 mAh. At the same time, thanks to the Surge G1 chipset of its own production, 120 W wired charging, 50 W wireless and 10 W reverse wireless charging are implemented.

Xiaomi 13 Pro received protection against dust and water according to the IP68 standard, the manufacturer did not refuse the infrared port either. The smartphone is available in four colors: black, white and light green received a ceramic cover, and blue is equipped with a panel designed under the skin.
