Xiaomi introduced Mi Mix 4 – its first smartphone with a camera disguised in the screen

Xiaomi has finally unveiled the flagship smartphone Mi Mix 4, about which there have been many leaks lately. Despite the rather ordinary design, in technical terms, the novelty turned out to be interesting. In particular, this is the first smartphone from the manufacturer with a sub-screen camera. It is disguised under a special layer and only appears when needed. In addition, it is the first smartphone in the world to receive the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus platform.

Let’s start with the fact that Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is made in a ceramic case. The device has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Its resolution is 2400 × 1080 pixels, the refresh rate is 120 Hz, and the response rate of the sensor layer is 480 Hz. The manufacturer also announced support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 + and TrueTone.

On the rear panel there is a main camera unit with three modules, the main one of which is a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HMX sensor. The other two are a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and an 8MP periscope-type sensor with 5x optical zoom. In front, the front camera with a 20 megapixel sensor, already mentioned at the beginning of the note, is installed.

The Harman Kardon system is responsible for the sound, and the battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh with support for fast charging at 120 W is responsible for autonomy.
