Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 120Hz TV Doesn’t Actually Support 120Hz Frame Rate Input

The Xiaomi Mi TV Q1, presented at the beginning of the year, looks very impressive on paper. For a 75-inch TV with a QLED panel, support for 120 Hz and HDMI 2.1, even in Europe they ask for only 1,300 euros.

However, as it turned out, not everything is so good with this model. The fact is that the same promised 120 Hz is actually supported by the TV panel, but not supported by its input system. That is, the device cannot receive the corresponding signal in the form of a picture in 4K resolution with a frame rate of 120 Hz, despite the presence of a good hardware platform and HDMI 2.1 ports.

The image output with a frame rate of 120 Hz is due to scaling based on MEMC technology. However, clarity may suffer in this case.

As a result, gamers with new consoles may not be able to use such a TV.
