At the presentation of the flagship Xiaomi 13 family, which took place on Sunday, December 11, the Chinese company also introduced a new proprietary firmware MIUI 14 based on Android and its special “tablet” version. During the announcement, Xiaomi revealed all the features of the new generation of software and named the smartphones that will be the first to receive the update. But the company kept silent about the tablets that can upgrade to MIUI 14. Xiaomi later revealed this information in its official community.
It is known that Xiaomi continues to develop the “tablet” version of MIUI 14, and therefore the weekly beta versions of MIUI 14 for tablets will be released later than for smartphones. And the distribution of a stable public build of MIUI 14 Pad is scheduled for early April 2023.
The list of tablets that will receive MIUI 14 Pad includes a total of five models, four of which are members of the Xiaomi Pad 5 family. These are Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.5, Pad 5 Pro 5G, Pad 5 Pro, Pad 5, and Redmi Pad .
As for smartphones, the deployment of the new system is scheduled for them approximately in January or February 2023. In the meantime, the only smartphones on which the stable version of MIUI 14 is installed are the Xiaomi flagships 13 and 13 Pro.
