Xiaomi has been releasing stable builds of the global MIUI 12 shell for Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco smartphones for many months now. However, users of many models complain about various glitches and bugs that have not yet been fixed.

For example, Xiaomi Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro users report incorrect display of icons when using a dark theme, an involuntary appearance of a black screen when playing a video, errors with displaying items and icons on the lock screen in Always on Display mode, freezing during games, animation problems on the lock screen, glare and flickering on displays after unlocking, incorrect behavior of notifications when restarting smartphones, as well as problems with sound and display of text in WhatsApp.
Poco M3 owners complain about serious flaws in the MIUI 12 software, up to the inability to turn on the smartphone after the latest updates. The problem with random reboots on Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro also persists. Some Redmi Note 8 owners are haunted by problems with premature discharge and sound playback.
There are also crashes and annoying issues with other popular models including Poco F2 Pro, Poco F1, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro.
The developers at Xiaomi are aware of many issues with the MIUI 12 firmware, but some of them remain unpatched. Users can only hope that they will be fixed in MIUI 12.5, the first stable builds began to be released for the international market.
