Xiaomi spoke about the global version of the improved MIUI 12.5 and named the smartphones that will receive it

Earlier this month, Xiaomi announced the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in China, promising a number of system improvements and fixes. At the same time, no details about the global launch of the proprietary shell were reported. There is now an announcement on the Mi Community Forum that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Global will be out in Q4 2021. The manufacturer has shared some details of the release and released an initial list of supported devices.

Xiaomi has announced that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced contains several new performance-related options. One feature deserves special attention and is related to the fact that system performance almost does not degrade over time thanks to new storage mechanisms and more efficient defragmentation. According to the company, even after three years of using the smartphone, the performance remains at a high level. Also in MIUI 12.5 Enhanced there is a function of the so-called atomic (or atomized) memory, which allows you to keep more applications in the background, increasing the efficiency of RAM use.

New algorithms will dynamically allocate system resources based on usage scenarios, ensuring smooth device operation. CPU usage is reduced and power saving is improved.

Initially, the list of smartphones that will be the first to receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced consists of several flagships from 2020-2021. It includes:

  • My 11;
  • Mi 11 Ultra;
  • Mi 11i;
  • Mi 11X Pro;
  • Mi 11X;
  • Mi 10T Pro;
  • Mi 10T;
  • Mi 10 Pro;
  • Wed 10.
