Xplora XGO2 kids smart watch with phone function

Xplora has unveiled the XGO2, which it calls “the perfect first phone and smartwatch for kids.” Designed specifically for children ages 4 to 10, the device allegedly encourages physical activity, making it easy to keep in touch between the child and other family members, unlike other smartwatches.

In terms of physical activity, XGO2 tracks steps, rewarding your child with an Xplora coin for every 1000 steps. Coins can be spent on the Goplay Xplora platform, which includes popular games based on children’s blockbusters like Sonic the Hedgehog.

Secure communication is ensured that the watch can only call and receive calls from pre-approved contacts only. In addition, kids can receive text messages, voice messages, emoticons, and reply to messages received from approved contacts.

The XGO2 is equipped with GPS to keep parents informed of where their children are. Plus, parents can easily set up Safe Zones through Google Maps integration. In this case, parents will be alerted when their children enter or leave safe areas.

The watch is protected to IP67, and the standby time is 72 hours without recharging. The watch supports 4G networks. They are equipped with a 0.3 megapixel camera and a 1.4-inch display.
