Yamaha introduced the RM-TT wired desktop microphone. It joins the Adecia family of easy-to-install teleconferencing collaboration and learning solutions: RM-CR conferencing processor, VXL1-16P Dante / PoE compatible speaker, and SWR2311P-10G PoE network switch.
Wired desktop microphones are connected using a LAN cable and a PoE switch. Scalability allows up to eight microphone units to be included in the system.
The low-profile RM-TT housing contains an array of microphones and signal processing, including automatic source tracking (signal level selects the microphone closest to the speaker), automatic gain control, and adaptive echo and noise cancellation. The settings allow you to select the radiation pattern that is optimal for a particular room or use scenario. Unidirectional, supercardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional and toroidal patterns are available.
RM-TT sales are due to begin this summer. The manufacturer has not yet announced the price.
