Recently, Yandex Browser developers have been actively working to increase the level of comfort when working with this application – for example, the browser has received a convenient sidebar that allows you to quickly find the desired tab, as well as a special scoreboard on which you can display links frequently used by the user. But the team decided not to stop at the achieved result, so today, December 21, Yandex employees officially presented a new design for tab groups, which will make it much more efficient to work with various resources and information sources.
The main advantage of the new design is that the user can now unpin tabs from the top bar to hide them in a convenient vertical browser menu. As a result, the user can significantly unload the interface, freeing up the workspace. The tab groups themselves now look more attractive and concise, plus the developers have provided the ability to unpin groups from the top panel – you can even unpin the “house”. If the user unpins a group, it will not be visible on the top panel, although it will remain in the vertical menu. The very same vertical menu is available by clicking on the arrow on the right side of the group panel – all groups of tabs are displayed here.

In addition, the developers have significantly simplified access to the home tab group – now the pinned group is always visible, even if all the tab groups do not fit on the panel. Yandex also shared plans for the future – right now the team is working on the function of synchronizing tab groups on all devices on which the user launches the Browser. When the function is implemented, the composition of all tab groups on all user devices will be identical, which is extremely convenient – you can create a group of tabs on your smartphone on the way home, and then continue working from your computer.
