Yandex is going to issue its own bank debit card. Tigran Khudaverdyan, managing director and member of the board of directors of the Yandex group of companies, spoke about this in his interview with Forbes.
According to the top manager, Yandex plans to provide basic financial services in the future. Khudaverdyan clarified that we are talking about a debit card for users of a paid Yandex.Plus subscription. It is assumed that using this card, users will be able to conveniently make transactions on Yandex.Market, Yandex.Taxi, Yandex.Ede, Yandex.Lavka and Yandex.Drive.
Yandex plans to provide both physical and virtual cards. The launch date has not yet been disclosed. Khudaverdyan explained in response to the question “When will they be launched?”:
