The Yandex team announced the launch of a new service in a set of services for work – Yandex.Documents. In fact, it is a competitor to Google Docs (Google Docs).

The new online service is designed to create and collaboratively edit files. As the developers promise, now any person, even if there is no office suite on his computer, can work with documents on Yandex – alone or together with colleagues.

It is also noted that now users can not only send documents using Yandex.Mail and store them on Disk, but also edit. The new service allows you to create all the main types of documents: text files, tables, presentations. The service supports docx, xlsx and pptx formats and can convert older versions to them.

To make it easier to find the desired file, the ones that were opened last are shown first. Files can also be sorted by name or size. The most important ones can be fixed.

To work together, just send your colleagues a link to edit. Even those users who do not have a Yandex account will be able to access the file. In the history of changes, you can view edits and undo unnecessary ones.

The service works in the web version – both on computers and smartphones. So far, it is only available to some users, but it will gradually appear for everyone. You can also connect to the “Documents” yourself. To do this, you need to follow the link docs.yandex.ru.

The set of services itself has been renamed to Yandex 360. In addition to the new service, Yandex 360 includes Yandex.Mail, Yandex.Disk, Yandex.Telemost, Yandex.Calendar, Yandex.Notes and Yandex.Messenger. All of these services are free to use.
