Yandex announced the launch of a free course for novice developers. He will teach them how to create games on the Unity engine from scratch and make money on them. Listeners are promised to share practical experience, starting with the most basic concepts about the operation of the engine and ending with the creation of a full-fledged project. The initiative is being implemented as part of the Yandex Games service. The training includes video lessons with additional materials and lasts 10-12 hours. The courses will be taught by an experienced developer Ilya Kareltsev, whose graduates have already created more than 50 games.
Pavel Epishin, head of the Yandex Games service, noted that the platform allows developers to make money on browser games. At the same time, you don’t need to make any special efforts, it attracts traffic itself, and the game creator can devote his time to development.
The course participants will not only gain Unity programming skills sufficient to create a full-fledged game, but will also learn how to add animation, effects and sounds, create several levels, develop an interface, the final scene, and more. The last modules will tell you how to upload a project to Yandex Games and receive income from monetization.
