Yandex Maps has several new features at once, each of which cannot be called major, but all of them significantly improve the experience of using the navigation service. One of the key innovations is the option to avoid bad and dirt roads, which can be enabled when building a route. If enabled, Maps will only route on paved roads when possible.
Another new feature is warnings about railroad crossings and ferry crossings. It will be displayed both when building one route, and when choosing the best one among several proposed ones.
We also added a new voice notification: the navigator will report when approaching a railway crossing, as well as when a speed bump appears on the way if the vehicle speed exceeds 40 km/h.
