Yandex representatives told TJ about the creation of a new project in partnership with the volunteer search and rescue team LisaAlert. Specialists looking for missing people will use drones to take photographs of large areas, which will then be uploaded to the Yandex.Disk cloud service. Further, the information received will be passed on to the executors of Yandex.Tolok, who will have to fulfill their role in the search for the missing people – they will need to view the pictures, marking individual frames with a possible image of a person.
Naturally, after the photos are run through the Yandex.Toloka service, the marked images with a possible image of the missing person will be additionally viewed by the specialists of the LisaAlert rescue team. In the event that a person is really noticed on the marked pictures, experts will send pedestrian search engines with the necessary equipment to this location, who will conduct a more detailed survey of the area. Thanks to this mechanism, the search for missing people, especially in the case of various large areas that pedestrian search engines simply cannot handle, will work much more efficiently and faster.
