The Yandex.Taxi team plans to change the structure of tariffs for drivers and increase the commission from August 25, 2021. This was reported by the TASS news agency with reference to the press service of the company.
The changes will not be implemented throughout Russia, but only in some regions. The Yandex press service explained this step:
In some cities, we are increasing the commission and changing the tariff structure. The changes are driven by the growing costs of the taxi industry. ”
At the same time, it is planned to preserve the practice when the effective take rate is less than 10% – drivers receive a significant part of the order value in the form of remuneration.
In Moscow, Yandex.Taxi drivers are not threatened with any changes, this was also confirmed by the company. The press service added:
In 2020, drivers earned RUB 300 billion on our platform, which is 15% higher than in 2019. We believe that income growth for taxi drivers and taxi companies will continue to grow in 2021 as well.
