Year-on-year inflation meets expectations and grows 1.3% in February, the highest rise in eleven months

The Germany’s Consumer Price Index is up 0.7% in the monthly reading for February, meeting market expectations. In January, the indicator grew by 0.8%.

The annual CPI increased by 1.3%, as expected, surpassing the 1% in January. This is the largest rise in German inflation since March 2020.

The interannual Harmonized CPI grew by 1.6%, in line with expectations, and matching the January result.
