“Yellow Picapau Site”: Know all versions of the series on television

The series “Yellow Picapau Site” inspired by the stories of Monteiro Lobato has crossed generations, representing the children’s literature of Brazil. While the first television adaptation was released in 1952, the latest was released in 2024 at SBT.

Among the most popular versions stand out the first version of Globo in 1977, which featured Dorinha Duval and Dirce Migliaccio in her cast. Already in 2001, the version of the plot with Isabelle Drummond as the doll Emilia also gained prominence.

The first adaptation of history on television took place in 1952, on TV Tupi. In all, 12 seasons were recorded, aired until March 1963. Lúcia Lambertini, who played Emilia, took the program to a season 13 on TV Cultura, where she herself began to sign the script and drive.

In 1967, Band launched another adaptation, remaining for 3 seasons until 1969. As a differential, the series was all filmed in a real site.

It was not until 1977 that TV Globo produced its first version, which is considered one of the main ones to date and had, in all, 10 seasons, shown until 1986. In 2001, another version was released by the station, which featured actress Isabelle Drummond on her cast and extended until 2007.

By 2024, the latest version was released for SBT streaming, the +SBT. The series is still aired on Saturdays at 10:30 am on the station’s open channel.

In addition to TV, some other versions of Lobato’s work were adapted to the cinema and the animation.
