Yellow zone: here are the regions that change color

Veneto, Liguria, Marche and the province of Trento they have yellow zone numbers and change color starting Monday 21 December. Theirs will be a Christmas with the obligatory mask also outdoors. This is in fact the main variation of the band change, a variation that is also valid for those who have the super Green Pass and therefore have no restrictions on entering clubs, restaurants, bars, cinemas.

The province of is already in yellow Bolzano, Calabria and Friuli-Venezia Giulia which even risks the orange band since it has 378 new cases per week per 100 thousand inhabitants and a high hospital occupation: 23.3% in the medical area, 14.3% in intensive care.

Three regions of particular importance in terms of population could go yellow the following week: Lombardy, Lazio and Emilia-Romagna. The transition to the yellow band occurs with 50 weekly cases per 100 thousand inhabitants and occupancy of beds in intensive care equal to 10% and in the medical area equal to 15%. The orange zone is reached with cases between 150 and 250, employment in intensive care over 20% and over 30 in the medical area. To keep these three regions in the white band for now is hospital employment still slightly below the threshold both in the medical area and in intensive care. Lombardy has activated all possible beds in resuscitation also to keep these percentages low.

Most of the southern regions remain in the white zone. In general, the curve of cases is increasing with numbers of cases that have not been reached since last March. The incidence in Italy has risen to 242 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in one week. The threshold of 50 cases within which tracing is possible has been largely exceeded and can be understood from the situation of schools where reports and quarantines are multiplying.
