Successful series in the United States, “Yellowstone” has officially entered its final stretch. The second part of the fifth season of the story premiered on November 10th and began the closing of a chapter for the characters that reached the public in 2018. In an interview with CNN , Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) and Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) provided details about the end of production.
“They have a lot to sort out, a lot to take care of. There is still a lot to protect and fight for, that is what they will continue to do and do best”, said Kelly Reilly.
“It will be a continuation of what these characters have already done. They care for each other and love each other very much,” added Cole Hauser about Beth and Rip’s role in the new batch of episodes. “This year will be about pick up the pieces and move on “, delivered the star.
The plot of “Yellowstone” follows the Dutton family, which controls the largest cattle ranch in the United States. Amid divergent alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, the farm is in constant conflict with its borders: a city, an Indian reservation, and the country’s first national park.
The new part of the final season features the absence of Kevin Costner (John Dutton), who left the series to film the new western film “Horizon: An American Saga.”
Could “Yellowstone” have a new season?
Although the fifth year was always thought of as the last, rumors about a sixth season and spin-off began to circulate on the web.
Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton) and Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) also spoke about the future of the plot. According to Hauser, a possible sixth season, or even a spin-off focused on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler is just “under negotiation” and the rumors that it will happen are not true.
Kelly Reilly, in turn, said that the closure of a chapter of “Yellowstone” is confirmed for the next episodes, but that she would be open to new possibilities.
“I think we want to end this, we’re definitely ending a chapter of ‘Yellowstone,’ and if there’s a future beyond this, it has to come after this. There are creative conversations and I think we’re both excited about what they could be.”
In total, the conclusion of “Yellowstone” will have six episodes, which will be released weekly on the Paramount+ streaming service until December 15th.
