You can immediately continue watching YouTube videos that you have not watched on your smartphone on your computer.

YouTube is introducing a feature that allows you to continue watching a movie on your computer that you missed on your smartphone. This was announced by the author of the 9To5Google edition with reference to his observations and user reviews, who in early October increasingly began to encounter this innovation. At the moment, it is not available to everyone – either Google has begun large-scale testing of a new option, or has begun to gradually release this function, and in the near future it will be available to everyone. Apparently, a Premium subscription is not needed for it to work – at least no one has informed about its need.

After interrupting watching a video on a smartphone and going to the YouTube site, users see a miniature window in the lower right corner with the inscription “Continue watching” and linking to the time at which the video was interrupted. Such a video can either be expanded or closed if unnecessary. Judging by the reviews, this function works in clients for iOS, Android and Android TV, but only in one direction – if you interrupt watching a video in a browser on a computer, then you will not be able to continue watching it in a mobile client.
