You can now “exit” from WhatsApp without deleting, getting rid of the main drawback of the messenger is getting closer

The WhatsApp team continues to work on eliminating one of the main drawbacks of the messenger – the inability to simultaneously launch the application on multiple devices and the lack of a full-fledged standalone client for PC and in the web interface. This work has been going on for a long time, but now there has been noticeable progress.

You can now

Judging by the number 2.21.30 found in the fresh beta version of WhatsApp, soon the launch function on multiple devices will simultaneously appear in clients for iOS and Android.

The thematic resource WABetaInfo has published a video that shows the new function “log out” from an account on a device connected to WhatsApp. Until now, the only way to “log out” of an account on a linked device was to uninstall the WhatsApp (or WhatsApp Business) app, and then install and sign in with new credentials.

WABetaInfo notes that the logout function works correctly in both standard WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business. Unfortunately, while we are talking about beta versions, and in stable versions of WhatsApp, the innovation will appear later.

WhatsApp is testing two options for supporting multiple devices. In the first, WhatsApp can simply be launched on several (up to four) devices simultaneously. In the second, WhatsApp will receive a full-fledged WhatsApp Web client without the need to connect a smartphone.

Recall that now the messenger is rigidly tied to a specific device and phone number – instead of using login and password authorization, this would allow the messenger to be launched on any device at the same time.

Since the launch of the messenger in 2009, WhatsApp users have been dreaming about the appearance of true support for working from multiple devices. Synchronization between devices with the simultaneous work of WhatsApp is simply not provided. Currently, WhatsApp only allows one device to connect to an account. Even the desktop version of WhatsApp can only work in conjunction with a running application on a smartphone, “mirroring” it.
