Young breaks up with her boyfriend and assaults her 47 times with a knife; he is free

Unfortunately, violence against women and impunity in Mexico do not stop, because, according to various media outlets, the attacker of Mya Saldaña, victim of 47 stab wounds, is still free.

Due to social networks, the case of the 17-year-old girl, originally from Camargo, Chihuahua, who was attacked by her ex-boyfriend, Erick “N”, after she decided to end the relationship, went viral. Despite the fact that the events occurred in October last year, the girl continues to demand justice.

I told him ‘Let’s go home, I don’t want to hang out with you anymore’. I get out of the car, he gets out too, so I run out and he runs after me. He reaches for me and I think he’s going to hug me, but no, he directly comes to attack me with his knife and I couldn’t stop him anymore.

Fortunately, Mya received timely medical attention, so the events did not become a tragedy. However, three months after what happened on October 12, 2022, the attacker rebuilds her life as if nothing had happened, while she depends on eight medications and lives in terror of the traumatic episode she experienced. It is for this reason that the young woman seeks to analyze the “Mya Law”, which establishes that young people who commit serious crimes like this are punished and do not go unpunished.

Meanwhile, the Chihuahua State Attorney General’s Office reported that it filed an appeal for the modification of the precautionary measure imposed on Erick “N” and a reformulation of charges for qualified injuries and family violence was filed. However, a judge resolved the modification and ordered the attacker not to approach the municipality of Camargo, since he is from Delicias, Chihuahua. In the same way, he was told to take psychological therapy.

Despite the resolution of the specialized judge, Mya assures that Erick “N” has not fully complied, since he mentions that his attacker has searched for her, so she hopes that the authorities will take the appropriate measures to protect her.
