Young man finds cell phone on the street, hands it to the police and receives a new device for the gesture

A 17-year-old teenager found a cell phone on the street in the city where he lives in Espera Feliz, in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais and sought the Military Police to return the device to the owner. The fact happened on April 1, known as April Fools’ Day.

In addition to the gesture itself, what caught the attention of the police was the fact that the young man said he didn’t have a cell phone.

“Although today is April 1st, April Fools’ Day, a true event happened to our friend Lázaro, who found a cell phone. Although he didn’t have a cell phone, he wanted to return Simone’s device, the owner who lost it,” reported the PM on video.

The PM, the city’s Commercial Association and the nursing technician Simone Soares, owner of the lost cell phone, decided to reward Lázaro’s act of honesty and gave him, in addition to Easter eggs for him and his brothers, a new cell phone .

The young man was speechless with the recognition and was applauded by all. The Military Police made a point of highlighting the reason for the homage.

“We are here today, the PM and the Commercial Association, to congratulate him on this beautiful attitude. Despite seeming something normal, his attitude should be congratulated and praised, especially these days,” said the PM.

The video published on the social networks of the Military Police of Minas Gerais already has more than 30,000 views and almost 2,000 comments from people congratulating the young man for his act of honesty.
