A 20-year-old young man died and three other people were injured after being shot, in the early hours of this Thursday (10), in the Fazenda Coutos neighborhood, a suburb of Salvador. You attacks occurred in different parts of the neighborhood and are investigated by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) of Bahia.
According to witnesses, around ten men invaded a residence on Rua Teotônio Vilela, where they shot a woman and her three-year-old daughter. Both were rescued and taken to Hospital do Subúrbio, where they remain hospitalized.
Residents reported that the same criminals tried to break into another house in the area known as “Eixo 10”, but were unable to do so. Even so, they fired shots outside, hitting a resident, who was also taken to the hospital.
In another part of the neighborhood, in the region known as Santo Antônio, a young man was shot dead. So far, there is no confirmation whether the three attacks are linked to each other.
Insecurity in the area also affected public transport. The Salvador Mobility Secretariat (Semob) reported that, due to the feeling of insecurity, buses stopped circulating in the Morada das Lagoas region, on BA-528.
