Young Cauã Francisco Alves da Cruz, aged 19, was shot last Tuesday night (21), in the Rasta community, in Duque de Caxias.
According to information from residents of the region, Cauã was working as a delivery man for a pharmacy on the streets of the neighborhood where the Rasta community is located.
Witnesses reported on social media that the shooting had come from the police.
The Military Police stated that men from the 15th BPM (Caxias) were called to an incident of execution of a woman in the community, and when they approached the scene, they were received with hostility and reacted. PMERJ reported that after the confrontation, agents found a victim injured in the shoulder and helped him.
Cauã was taken to the Adão Pereira Nunes Municipalized Hospital, where he received medical care and his health status has not yet been disclosed.
In a statement, the Civil Police reported that the case is being investigated by the 60th DP (Campos Eliseos). The corporation reported that the police officers involved in the case have already been interviewed and their weapons have been seized for examination.
