The teaser for the seventh and final season of “Young Sheldon” was released in the United States during CBS programming. It seems that the young genius will face great farewells during the last episodes of the series.
The sitcom is a spin off from the great success “The Big Bang Theory”, which was also shown on CBS from 2007 to 2019.
The protagonist is Sheldon Cooper, an incredibly brilliant but socially awkward physicist who was played in the first show by Jim Parsons. In the current version, Sheldon's childhood and early family life are explored, with “Big Little Lies” actor Iain Armitage taking the lead role.
The final season of “Young Sheldon” is scheduled to premiere on February 15th in the United States. The final episode will air on May 16.
“Being able to tell the origin of Sheldon Cooper and expand the story to include the entire Cooper family has been a wonderful experience,” executive producers Steve Holland, Steven Molaro and Chuck Lorre said in a statement from CBS.
In Brazil, “Young Sheldon” is broadcast by Warner Channel and also available on the HBO Max streaming service.
