Even if you appear younger and everyone flatters your jovial appearance, like it or not, science says that youth ends at 34 and there is nothing you can do to avoid it.
A study carried out by scientists at Stanford University, in California, explains that the proteins present in the blood provide important information about the state of our health.
Proteins say it all
From this, the researchers began to investigate how protein levels in the blood can help determine the exact moment in which we begin to age.
Proteins are the workhorses of the body’s constituent cells, and when their relative levels undergo substantial changes,
it means that you too have changed.–Dr. Tony Wyss-Coray, Research Leader
There are three cycles
Changes were previously thought to be progressive, but they are not. The researchers analyzed some of the cell-free blood of 4,263 people between the ages of 18 and 95. After studying the levels of 373 proteins in the blood, they noticed that the trajectory of aging is not continuous, but has three peaks that mark the beginning of three life cycles: adulthood, late middle age and old age.
Welcome to adulthood!
Yes, as you suspect (and perhaps fear), people tell them bye, bye to youth at 34, which is when the first sudden changes in plasma begin.
You know, officially, 34 years are welcome to adulthood. And what has! As long as we feel young and fabulous, may the years go by.
