The figures of Retail sales in Germany grew 11% year-on-year during the month of March, notably improving the 9% drop seen in February and the 3.1% decline expected for today by the market.
The rise in the annual indicator breaks the downward trend of the last two months, and stands as the highest rise recorded since the start of the time series in 1994.
Monthly retail sales increased 7.7%, surpassing the 1.2% of the previous month and the estimated 3%. This is the biggest climb seen since May 2020.
