YPAAT: 40 million euros for small land improvements

The Minister of Rural Development Mr. Spilios Libanos and the Deputy Minister George Stylios announce that, after the pre-publication on October 13, 2021 (Prot. No. 700) on “INVITATION FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS TO PLOGOS” : “RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF GREECE 2014-2020, was issued on Thursday, December 23, 2021 with the signature of the Secretary General of Union Resources and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Rural Development & Food, Mr. Dimitris Od. Papagiannidis, invitation to .1: “Land improvement infrastructures” of the “Rural Development of Greece 2014-2020” Program.

The action is co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Greek State at a rate of 100%.

The total budget of the action amounts to 40,000,000.00 euros.

Beneficiaries for the submission of the relevant proposals are the competent services of the local self-government of AD or B grade, (Municipalities or Regions), which are responsible, according to the national legislation, for the planning and the preparation of the program of the relevant projects. .

The call for funding will fund projects with a budget of up to 2.2 million euros, which relate to improving or increasing irrigated areas, saving winter runoff (reservoirs), improving the energy efficiency of irrigation infrastructure, use of recycled water in irrigation and artificial groundwater enrichment in drilling network renovation.

The projects that will be financed achieve the reduction of losses and the application of highly efficient irrigation methods, the use of alternative water sources, the retention of winter runoff and their disposal during the summer months, the treatment of salinization problems and the restoration of problematic groundwater , better management of water abstraction and reduction of pressures from agriculture on both groundwater and surface water bodies. This increases the efficiency of the use of irrigation water and improves the competitiveness of Greek agriculture.

The Invitation is notified to the Regions and the Municipalities of the country and is posted on the websites of YP.A.AT., www.agrotikianaptixi.gr and www.minagric.gr as well as on the website of the NSRF www.espa.gr.

The application for support is submitted exclusively electronically through the Integrated Rural Development Information System – OPSAA. (www.opsaa.gr/RDIIS), accompanied by the required supporting documents.

The start date for the electronic submission of proposals to the OPSAA is 10/01/2022 and the end date is 06/05/2022.
