Greece’s proposal has been submitted for the utilization of the extraordinary economic aid amounting to 26,298,105 euros, which was allocated to our country from the crisis reserve of the Commission as announced by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
The new European Regulation allows for emergency aid to Member States to deal with the consequences of the Ukrainian crisis and specifically to ensure the continuation of production in the agricultural sector.
According to the announcement of the HYPAAT “the proposal is in line with the directions imposed by the framework of the Regulation and concerns: a) Producer Organizations (PO) of the fruit and vegetable sector that implement within the year 2022 an Operational Program (E. P.), b) the wine producers on the islands (except Crete), c) the organic growers of table grapes and Corinthian raisins”.
The submission of a proposal for extraordinary support for the livestock sector, through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), is also in the process of being processed, as notified by the FSA.
