The general framework of the restaurants, retail and entertainment stores from Monday, November 22, 2021 is determined by the General Secretariat of Commerce & Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Development & Investment.

As stated in a relevant announcement, from Monday, November 22, 2021:

• In the nightclubs, indoor (indoor) restaurants, theaters, cinemas, museums, exhibitions, conferences, gyms and stadiums, only those who have been vaccinated or within the last six (6) have access to and live presence. ) our fellow citizens who have been ill with COVID-19 for months. Our unvaccinated adult citizens do not have physical access to the aforementioned areas for the protection, primarily, of their own health.

• Retail shops, open (outdoor) restaurants, hairdressers, beauty salons and other places with related activities or services can be accessed by those vaccinated or within the last six (6) months of COVID -19 and our unvaccinated adult fellow citizens who have undergone a diagnostic test with PCR or rapid test before their presence in the store.

• Children aged 4 to 17 years have access to all of the above areas the presence of minors is allowed, and only if they have undergone a self-test self-test within the last 24 hours respectively before their presence in the area. Children up to 4 years old have access without control.

• In supermarkets, grocery stores (such as butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, patisseries and wineries) consumer access is possible without control. However, in this case the additional restriction of maximum possible simultaneous presence of customers inside the store to 1 person per 9 square meters applies.

• Pharmacies can be accessed by consumers without control.

• In order to avoid overcrowding in public transport serving urban city centers, the opening hours of retail stores in urban centers are modified. In particular, from Monday 22/11/2021, the retail stores in the urban centers will be open every day from 10.00 in the morning until 21.00 in the evening on weekdays. This measure does not apply to supermarkets, grocery stores (such as butchers, fishmongers, bakeries, patisseries and wineries) and pharmacies. This measure prevents the synchronization of peak hours of travel of working citizens providing livelihoods and citizens wishing to make their purchases in retail stores. In addition, the aim is to distribute the flow of consumers to the retail stores in most hours of the day in order to avoid, as much as possible, the creation of queues outside the stores and the avoidance of overcrowding inside them.

• Controlling consumers’ access to restricted spaces implies the responsibility of both businesses and consumers. Businesses when entering and serving their customers inside their stores are required to check the certificate of vaccination or recent illness or diagnostic test displayed by the customer, as the case may be, and that the customer who displays the certificate is also lawful holder, by verifying his / her police ID or other legal original proof of identity. The inspection must be performed by an employee of the company, the owner or the legal representative of the company or the person authorized by the company through the special application “Covid Free GR”. country outside the European Union is allowed by simply showing the certificate with a proof of identity (eg passport), without the need for control with the special application COVID Free GR.
