YPOIK: Extension of the beneficiaries of first aid in exchange for housing assistance

In amendment of the decision on granting first aid against housing assistance to support those affected by the earthquake of October 30, 2020 in Samos and the earthquake of March 3, 2021, the Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with the competent Ministries of Development and Investment, Digital Governance, Infrastructure and Transport, issued a relevant decision (JM 6066 EX 2022, Government Gazette 69 / Β / 16-1-2022), following a relevant proposal of the Governmental State Aid Committee, chaired by the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister, with responsibility for State Aid and Natural Disaster Recovery.

In particular, with The property owners affected by the above earthquakes and located in areas of the Peripheral Units of Pieria of the Region of Central Macedonia, Grevena and Kozani of the Region of Western Macedonia, Karditsa, Region of Larissa and Region of Trikala Of Greece, as they were delimited by the additional delimitation decision under DAEFK-ΚΕ / 9028 / Α325 / 17.05.2021 (ΒΔ 2094).

In addition, the deadline for applications is extended until 31 January 2022 for the provision of first aid in exchange for housing assistance for property owners affected by the aforementioned earthquakes, for all beneficiaries.

It is reminded that applications are submitted through the platform https://arogi.gov.gr/, which operates with the support of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE), accompanied by the relevant Property Re-inspection Card or the Autopsy Report or the Protocol of Dangerously Destroyed Building of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

The application can be submitted for up to one property per phenomenon and in particular for the property for which an application for housing assistance has been submitted or is to be submitted to the competent Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. In the case of a residence, the application may relate to a residence, the main residence, and if a relevant application for housing assistance has been submitted or will be submitted to the competent Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

Extraordinary lump sum assistance against housing assistance is not granted in cases where the provision of housing assistance has already been approved by the competent department of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

The amount of aid amounts to up to 14,000 euros for housing assistance to building owners affected by the above earthquakes, depending on the severity of the damage, as shown by the co-submitted data issued by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.

Please note that:

– In order to pay the financial aid, the beneficiaries need to have declared their bank account (IBAN) in myAADE (myaade.gov.gr).

– The application is issued in a pdf file with QR code, in order to immediately confirm its validity.

The Government and the Ministry of Finance, with the assistance of AADE, prove in practice, once again, that they assess the needs and respond with new measures where needed, in order to provide the most effective support to those affected by the catastrophic earthquakes, the Ministry of Finance states in relevant announcement.
