Zaef: The “Football Federation of Macedonia” must change its name

The football federation of Northern Macedonia must change its name, said the Zoran Zaef, noting that it has received funding from the state.

Zoran Zaef, in an interview last night on Skopje-based private television station Telma, as reported by APE-MPE, announced that the country’s football federation received a grant from the General Secretariat for Youth and Youth last January. hopes and therefore must be adapted, he said, to the provisions of the Prespa Agreement.

He went on to say that he expects federations or other associations, even those that do not receive state funding, to adopt the state’s constitutional name. As he said, the Prespa Agreement offers the country a future.

“The country does not need new confrontations. “Undoubtedly, all non-governmental organizations, ie legal entities under private law, including commercial companies and unions, must comply, as long as they receive money from the state budget for their international activities,” said the Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia.

The Football Federation of the country has not yet proceeded to change its name and continues to retain the name “Football Federation of Macedonia” and the initials FFM (Football Federation of Macedonia).
