Zalman today unveiled its premium line of Acrux power supplies. It was opened by 1000W and 1200W models equipped with fully modular cable systems. The 1000W model has six 8-pin (6 + 2) PCIe connectors, while the 1200W model has eight. Both have two 8-pin (4 + 4) EPS connectors.
80 Plus Platinum certified power supplies are built on a single + 12V rail, DC-to-DC conversion and active PFC. They only use Japanese capacitors. Protection against overvoltage, overload, overheating and short circuit is provided. For cooling, 135mm FDB fans are used. The fan does not turn on until the load exceeds 1/3 of the rated load.
