The multinational in the sector of medical-sanitary devices Beckton Dickinson has chosen Zaragoza for its new plant, to which it will allocate an investment of 165 million euros and which is expected to generate 600 jobs by 2030.
As announced by the Zaragoza City Council in a press release, they will tender 102,000 square meters of industrial land in Empresarium so that the company can install the plant.
The project will be operational in 2023. For this, a single batch of eight plots will be put out to tender for a minimum price of 3.1 million euros. Beckton Dickinson already has several plants in Spain, but this is the first to be located in Zaragoza.
The multinational plants (located in Fraga, San AgustÃn de Guadalix and Almaraz) produce 10,000 million sanitary devices annually and employ more than 1,500 people.
They will be joined in principle 150 of the staff of the new plant, which will initially have 8,000 square meters. However, the idea is that by 2030 the workforce will increase to 600 people and the surface to 30,000 square meters.
“The action promoted by the City Council will combine in a single lot a total of eight plots for industrial use and municipal ownership in the Empresarium polygon that make up Block 4”, explains the City Council. In total, the land has an area of ​​102,421 square meters and a buildable area of ​​87,058 square meters.
