In the first teaser released for the new album, Zayn commented on details of the project:
“I think the intention behind this album is for the listener to gain more insight into me personally as a human being — my ambitions, my fears, and for them to have a connection to that.”
“And that's why it's so raw, you know? It's just me writing this. I didn’t want anyone else to be between me and the music, and the music and the people who listen to it”, he concludes.
“Nobody Is Listening”, the singer’s last album, was released 3 years ago. Zayn is the author of “Icarus Falls”, from 2018, and “Mind of Mine”, his debut album in 2016. He was part of the boyband One Direction and was the first to leave the group, in 2015.
