The singer Zeca Pagodinho launches, this Friday (21), the audiovisual project that celebrates its 40 years of career . The show was recorded at the Nilton Santos stadium, the Engenhão in Rio de Janeiro, in February.
The material is a kind of kickoff and spoiler of the tour that the samba singer from Rio will take to Brazil to celebrate his career in music and also his 65th birthday. The first show takes place this Friday at Espaço Unimed, in São Paulo, and the last will be in December at Farmasi Arena, in Rio de Janeiro.
For the recording, Zeca received guests such as Djonga , Your Jorge , Xande de Pilares It is Jorge Aragão and sang classics like “Verdade” and “Coração em Desalinho”, along with songs that he doesn’t usually bring to his recent shows, like “Exaustino” and “Vacilão”. The project featured musical direction by Paulão Sete Cordas, a long-time partner of the samba singer, and musical production by Pretinho da Serrinha.
Two videos of the show had already been released on Zeca’s official YouTube channel. The first, available on Saint George’s Day, is a duet with Djonga on the song “Ogum”; the second was the classic “Camarão que Dorme a Onda Leva”, which the samba singer composed with Arlindo Cruz and Beto Sem Braço.
Tickets for the “Zeca Pagodinho – 40 years” tour are still on sale at official site. The singer will perform 17 shows in 13 different cities, as well as a themed cruise.
