Zelenski asks the EU a “clear political message” that he supports his country’s accession course

Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski today urged the European Council to send a “clear political message” that Brussels is supporting Kiev in his attempt to join the European Union. “What is needed now is a clear political message: that Ukraine is steadily on a European course and that Europe is keeping its promises,” Zelenski said in his video message to ’27’ leaders. The Ukrainian president also reiterated his request to limit Russia’s revenue from oil exports. As he said, it is necessary to put a $ 30 ceiling on Russian oil in order to have a “real, lasting peace”. Earlier, however, Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban said the EU would not have a single stance on the issue of Ukraine’s accession because its country is opposed. Source: RES
