The leaders of France, Emmanuel Macron, Germany, Friedrich Mertz, Britain, Kir Starmer, Poland, Donald Tusk, and Ukraine President Volondimir Zelenski met today in Tirana, on the sidelines of the European Council. According to a spokesman for the Ukrainian Presidency, Sergi Nikiforov, during this meeting, leaders contacted US President Donald Trump. Earlier, Zelenski had called for a “strong reaction” if the conversations of Constantinople failed. The French president, for his part, estimated that Russia “does not want” to conclude a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine and that it should be exerted “increased pressure” to be convinced.
