Ukraine President Volodimir Zelenski said today that Turkey, Gulf states or European countries could accommodate talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Now, this week there will be contacts with Turkey, contacts with Gulf countries and European countries that could accommodate talks with the Russians,” Zelenski told his evening video speech. “For our part, things will be prepared to the fullest extent to end the war.” Zelenski made these statements as Ukrainian Presidency Officer Andriy Germak said he and the head of the Ukrainian National Security Council were in Qatar to meet with the country’s defense minister. Zelenski has called for talks with Putin, but Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the agenda had not been prepared for such a meeting.
