Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with US President Joe Biden about strengthening sanctions, defense aid and an anti-war coalition, the Ukrainian president wrote on Twitter on Friday.
“I thank the United States for its strong support for Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.

Ukraine’s ambassador to Washington, Oksana Markarova, confirmed that the two leaders had a “very constructive” telephone conversation.
According to Markarova, today the Russian attack was more “violent” but the Moscow forces did not go as far as they planned. Ukrainian authorities are gathering evidence of possible war crimes, he added.
