Volodymyr Zelensky announced yesterday Monday his decision to increase funding for the development of drones in order to strengthen the armed forces of Ukraine. In a video message, Zelensky said he considered a report by Pavlos Palisa, a former military commander whom he recently appointed as his deputy chief of staff, about providing additional funding for the construction of drones. “We recently approved the amount of funds to be released (for this purpose). But now I find that this amount is not enough,” said Zelensky. “I have instructed the prime minister to significantly increase funding in the coming days,” he added. Zelensky sees the deployment of drones as paramount in the war, which began 33 months ago with the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops.
