The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke today, Wednesday (17/11) with the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and stated that bilateral relations made the armies stronger.
More specifically, the Ukraine has bought and deployed Turkish drones in the war against Russian-backed forces in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donbass, angering Moscow. They followed movements of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine which have caused concern in the West.
Zelensky wrote on Twitter that the partnership with Turkey deepens: “already strengthens the armed forces of our countries. The expected Free Trade Agreement will also contribute to economic growth. “
🇺🇦🇹🇷 partnership is deepening. It’s already strengthening the armed forces of our countries. The expected FTA will also contribute to economic growth. Talked about it by phone with @RTErdogan. Looking forward to meeting him in Kyiv at the Strategic Council’s anniversary meeting.
