“They (the Russians) are not ready for talks, they have no desire to do them. For them, talks are a series of ultimatums, that we must recognize Donbass and Crimea as Russian territories. And recently they started saying publicly that the Ukraine must recognize the south of our country as Russian territory, since they will hold a series of ‘referendums’,” Zelensky said.
In this context, the Ukrainian president compared the Russia with the alligator, who seeks to grasp everything that does not belong to him: “It doesn’t matter what you tell them, no matter what you tell them, they will always come back to take new lands, say in half a year».
Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that he is not ready to predict when and how peace talks with Russia will begin, but he stressed, according to the Athens News Agency, that the Russian side will propose them when it sees the power of the whole world who supports Ukraine.
