Zelensky: He proposed to the G7 to convene a “world peace summit” on Ukraine

THE Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to her countries G7 the convening of a “world peace summit” for the Ukraineto end the war that has been going on for almost ten months.

“I propose convening a special summit – the world peace summit – to decide how and when we can implement the points of the peace formula in Ukraine,” Zelensky announced in a teleconference speech, calling on Russia to ” withdraw its troops from Ukraine’ before Christmas to ‘ensure a lasting cessation of hostilities’.

A little earlier, Zelensky, addressing the Group of Seven of the world’s most powerful economies, said that his country needs “almost two billion cubic meters” of additional natural gas to get through the winter. “The scare against our power plants has led us to use more natural gas than intended. And for this reason we need additional support this winter. We are talking about a volume of almost two billion cubic meters of natural gas that needs to be bought additionally,” he stressed.
