Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made new statements on Thursday afternoon (3/3) about the Russian invasion and said he would never surrender.
“We owe it to ourselves to defend ourselves. We are the border between Russia and culture. Obviously I have nothing against the people of Russia, but they must take to the streets and tell Putin to stop this situation.
If I were not president I would be a militia today. I would either be in humanitarian aid or shoot wherever I was told. The only thing I would never do would be to hand over the gun and surrender to the other side.
We are not going to steal anything else, we are defending our homes and our land. We will all stay until the end. I am a living person and obviously I want to continue living. I will not be afraid to lose my life for the freedom and life of my children. “I feel that I have no right to be afraid or to say it.”
More in a while…
