Zelensky-Johnson talks on ‘new phase’ of military aid to Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zhelensky has spoken with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson about a “new phase” in military aid, which will include the supply of heavy weapons, Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Siega said today.

Speaking on state television, Simbiga said the two leaders also discussed during their telephone conversation the provision of additional financial support to Ukraine.

“The Prime Minister has confirmed that the United Kingdom will provide more military defense assistance, including protected mobility vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles and anti-tank weapons,” said a statement from Johnson’s office.
