THE Volodymyr Zelensky spoke granted to the German television network BILD and commented on her partial conscription in Russia which announced Vladimir Putinemphasizing that the Russian president wants to “drown her in blood Ukraine” and the Russian soldiers
“He sees that his units are just running away,” he said characteristically and added that Putin “he wants to drown Ukraine in bloodincluding the blood of his own soldiers.”
At the same time, the Ukrainian president said he did not believe the world would allow the Russian president to use nuclear weapons and promised that Kyiv would continue to liberate Ukrainian territories occupied by Russian forces.
“I do not believe that he (Putin) will use these weapons. I don’t think the world will allow him to use these weapons,” Zelensky said, according to a text published by BILD.
“Tomorrow Putin can say: in addition to Ukraine, we also want a part of Poland, otherwise we will use nuclear weapons. We cannot make these concessions.”
Zelensky also disparaged plans by four Russian-held regions of Ukraine to hold referendums on September 23-27 on joining Russia, saying it was a “fraud” that would not be recognized by most countries.
“We will act on our plans step by step. I am sure that we will liberate our lands”, he added.
